DPR Construction gets $121M Facebook information centre contract
DPR Construction announced Friday it has been awarded a US$121-million agreement to build a 300,000-square-foot mechanism information centre in Lulea, Sweden for amicable media website Facebook.
The plan will be a corner try with NCC Construction Sweden and Portland, Oregon-based Fortis Construction.
Palo Alto, California-based Facebook skeleton to aim for bullion acceptance underneath a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standard.
On a website, Facebook says it is “one of a most-trafficked sites in a world” with some-more than 800 million active users (defined as those who have returned to a site within 30 days) and it handles millions of queries per day. It says it has some-more than 900 million objects (including pages, groups and events) that people correlate with, and some-more than 250 million photos are uploaded to it each day.
